Earlier in the year Coleshill were approached by a potential customer having quality issues with a large compression moulded product sourced to China.

With the customer committed to bring the tooling back the UK he chose Coleshill as a partner to develop his product. Some days later we were introduced to other members of business organization also having issues this time with injection moulded parts coming in from China and after submitting costs and offering support we were advised tools retuned from China would be sent to us for evaluation.

The Coleshill team sourced the specified materials and within a few days of the tooling arriving the first of the tools had been sampled approved and production volumes made. Other tooling went through the same process and our responsiveness to the customer’s needs has now ensured that the process of removing tooling from China can become a regular flow ultimately ensuring the customer has a supply of quality parts from a source in the UK

We were approached by the design company for a major building supplies company to help develop and manufacture their vision for a fully ‘roof integrated’ solar panel system.

Not only roof integrated but that it should be a plug and play approach that could be installed by roofers rather than electricians and fitted in place of conventional roof tiles.

Working with the design team and material supplier a special DMC composite material was developed for the revolutionary two part assemblies. Prototype compression tools were laid down and units produced which were then built onto a series of test installations.

A further programme of refinement was followed by testing and approvals. Finally resulting in production tooling being laid down and the product being launched to ‘critical acclaim’ at InterBuild, the largest exhibition on the UK construction industries calendar.
