Coleshill Plastics Ltd are a leading plastics moulding specialist based in Coventry. We provide a diverse range of plastics processing including: Compression, Transfer, Thermoset injection (DST), Thermoplastic Injection and in-mould decoration.
Coleshill Plastics have specialised in thermoset moulding since the early 1940's using a full range of thermosetting materials, and since the 1990’s have expanded our capability with injection moulding of engineering thermoplastic materials.
Currently we are equipped with a wide range of compression machines from 40 to 860 tonnes and injection machines with shot capacities of 5grams to 3500grams.
To compliment these machines, there is a comprehensive range of ancillary and finishing equipment including paint spraying.
Whilst we don’t offer in-house tooling making in-house, we liaise closely with our customers to project manage the link with our approved toolmakers in order to ensure the customer receives the best advice and support as to product mouldability and tool design.
All new tooling is sampled prior to chroming and our quality department carry out a full ISIR in conjunction with the toolmakers, which is submitted for customer approval within days of initial samples.

Now equipped with a wide range of compression machines from 40 to 860 tonnes, plus injection machines with shot capacities of 5grams to 3500grams, of which the majority are PLC controlled.
To compliment these machines, we have a wide range of general and specialised ancillary equipment which includes pelleting, pre-heating, stoving, spray painting, as well as the normal drilling, tapping and polishing equipment. All this helps us supply a wide range of moulding such as Composite Moulding.
Whilst Coleshill do not manufacture tooling in-house we liaise closely with the customer to project manage the link with toolmakers in order to ensure the customer receives the best advice as to product mouldabilty and tool design.
Hardened steel tools are recommended which for thermoset materials are heated by oil, steam, or electrical heating while for thermoplastics they can be heated or simply water cooled. The moulds are often plated with chrome to reduce wear from abrasion or on occasion chemical attack from materials during production. Plating also enables easy release once the part is moulded.
